Choose a screen-free corner without redesigning your home
A screen-free corner is a place for a chosen activity, not a judgement about using technology. One chair or part of a table can be enough to make reading, drawing or conversation easier to begin.

Give the space a purpose
Choose what you want to do there and keep the necessary materials nearby. A notebook, book or small craft project is more inviting when it is ready to use. Keep the setup compatible with the other people who share the room.
Set a limited boundary
Try leaving your phone elsewhere for a short period, while preserving a way to receive any genuinely urgent contact you need. If the room has to serve several purposes, put the activity materials in a basket that can be moved easily.
Notice whether it helps
After a week, ask whether you used the space and enjoyed the activity. If it became another unused display, change the location or choose a more appealing activity. You do not need to buy furniture or declare a household-wide rule. A small experiment is enough to discover whether a physical cue helps you spend a little more time on something you want to do.
