A five-minute evening note that makes tomorrow less crowded

A crowded morning often begins with decisions left unfinished the night before. An evening note can move a few of those decisions onto paper without turning bedtime into another planning session.

Keep the note short

Write the first appointment, one essential task and anything you need to take with you. Leave room for a single reminder about an unfinished job. Avoid copying an entire to-do list; the point is to identify tomorrow's starting line.

Prepare one physical item

Put the necessary document in your bag or place your keys in their usual spot. Choose something that commonly delays you. If another person shares the space, agree on where the item belongs rather than moving their belongings without asking.

Review the friction

After a week, ask which reminder you actually used. Remove anything that became background noise. Some evenings will be too busy for the routine, so make a one-line version available. This is an organisational experiment, not a treatment for sleep or anxiety. A useful note earns its place by making one morning action easier, and it should take less effort than the confusion it prevents.
